The urge to debate has given me a sense of individuality and has helped groom my personality. I foster for elocution, leadership, and public speaking. I strongly believe that the importance of expressing one’s opinions, irrespective of the level of diversity and the number of individuals that may be the audience to our comments, specifically in the realms of foreign policy and global diplomacy, has immense value. I would, therefore, assert that a leadership organization is not designed to merely be a forum for individuals to represent themselves, engage in rhetoric and enjoy the sites; the objective is for all participants to comprehend the intricacies of cultural realities and global dynamics amidst multilateral policy frameworks. Asia Youth International Model United Nations shall indeed be an exciting experience. I can assure each of you that the experience will truly be unparalleled. My name is Nur Robiahtul Sofia and I am studying at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am taking Media Studies as I really want to pursue my career in public relation or a diplomat in the future. Currently, I am the president of Johor Student Leaders Council Alumni (JSLCA) and the representative for Iskandar Malaysia Youth Committer in education sector. I first started MUN when I attended Taylor’s Model United Nations (TAYMUN) and received “The Most Outstanding Delegate” in UNHCR as the delegate of Afghanistan. Then, I continue my journey in MUN as I realised my passion in MUN is really high and JSLCA started to organise our own MUN which called JOHORMUN where the dais at that time were all our JSLC members including me. After received a lot of positive feedback, we decided to have dais from all over the world and have around 200 delegates as a starting point to make JOHORMUN well known among the MUN-ers.

Hey, I am Huzaifa. I am Indian but have been living in Malaysia for the past 9 years. I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering. Besides academics, I enjoy casual debates with friends and family as well as debating and MUN as a sport. On the physical side, I play quite a few sports, with basketball being up there (something you will realise when you see my height haha). I spend lots of time listening to music, watching all sorts of movies and playing video games. When all’s said and done, I try to enjoy the little things in life. I believe the ultimate goal should always be where one is happy; settling for anything less should not be an option. Always on the lookout for the next big thing.
Hi there! I am your one and only chair Raditya S. Rahim from Indonesia, will serve you as one of Board of Dais of Asia Youth International Model United Nations 2018. REMEMBER, if this is your first time coming to Thailand–do not forget to enjoy the country and cherish every moment! But if is not, then tell me what should I do here in Thailand. See you in Bangkok, cheers!
