Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) is a simulation of united nations where every participant will act as diplomat and represent a country to discuss and solve the global issue through delivering speech, formal debate and negotiation. The output of the session is a resolution which contents of the current issues and proposed solutions. The next question is what we can do with the resolution? Shall we stop it? Or shall we do more action? The expected answer is that there should be a follow up action regarding the resolution. The ideas which have been created brilliantly by the delegates shall not only be on the paper, but it also will be better to take further action of it. Besides the ideas which come from delegates, we also believe that many of young activists out there who also have amazing ideas that further action regarding global issues.
AYIMUN for The World is a social action program to provide the alumni of AYIMUN and public especially young activists (non alumni) around the world to objectify their social action ideas.
Following up the ideas of resolution created by AYIMUN alumni during the conference and providing a platform for public especially young activists (non alumni) who concern about global issues to objectify their social action ideas.
Giving concrete impact to society.
Gaining the social awareness of global issue.
AYIMUN for The World program will be opened for
all AYIMUN alumni and public.
The expected output of this program is to produce social project proposals which will be funded by committee after passing several processes of assessment.
AYIMUN for The World program is looking for ideas as follows:
Alumni of AYIMUN and public especially young activists (max. 25 years old), can be individual or group.
The project duration is at least one month and maximum two months. Maximum budget plan for your project is 1500 USD.
The project can give everlasting impact to society.
Engaging local community or non profit organizations will give added values.
The project ideas concern on youth, education, health, economy, food, and any other issues.
Project proposal must consist of project name, project details (background, objectives, description, location, etc.), problem statement, existing solution, proposed solution or innovation, implementation timeline, measuring success, budget, controlling method, organizational structure of team, and any other supporting information.
JUDGE of AYIMUN Social Project
Maria Harfanti represented Indonesia at the 65th Miss World 2015 pageant. The venue was held in Sanya, China.
She was crowned as 2nd runner-up of Miss World and was awarded Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty Asia 2015 because she has earned the highest points among Asian contestants, reaching the highest place for Indonesia in this pageant so far. She was also awarded as the winner of Beauty with A Purpose challenge event, with her project, bringing clean water source closer to people suffered from water crisis, building community toilets, and giving education about the importance of sanitation in Kamancing Village, Pandeglang, Banten.
Other achievements Harfanti achieved during this pageant are becoming Top 7 in Interview, Top 5 in World Fashion Designer Award, Top 13 in Talent, Top 15 in Multimedia, and Top 25 People’s Choice.
