Jonathan Dason is a graduate of International Relations from the University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Since graduation, he has had experiences working in the field of management consulting and foreign affairs, adding value to organisations ranging from corporate companies to government agencies and ministries. Over the years, he has organised and participated in many Model United Nations (MUN) conferences. He believes that MUN is a good platform to practice the skills necessary for constructive diplomacy as well as to network and build friendships. He encourages delegates to delve into the finer details and explore the diplomatic nuances when proposing solutions while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

Mariona is a BA graduated in Translation and Interpreting at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain), currently in her last year of a Master’s degree in Conference Interpreting at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as well as in her second semester of a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at the Open University of Catalonia. She has always been passionate about diplomacy and international affairs; but, above all, she is highly concerned about human rights and peacekeeping. These interests led her to begin volunteering as a translator at the NGO “Initiatives of Change International”, which she has been done since March 2017. She discovered the MUN world that same year and, ever since then, she has attended several international MUNs as a delegate, being the last one the Catalonia Model of the United Nations (C’MUN) 2019, where she was awarded a Best Delegate Award at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s committee. Her participation in MUNs as a Chair is very recent, having been her very first experience WebMUN 2019 (Vienna, Austria), chairing the European Council. Mariona is actively involved in inner simulations at UNSA Barcelona, participating as a mentor to new members, as a delegate or as Chair. She is looking forward to meeting you all and sharing her MUN passion with the rest of the committee at Asia Youth International MUN 2020!

McShane is a 1st year Masters degree student from Moscow, majoring in International Relations. She has been a MUNer for about 5 years, mostly in Russian and English, and is always eager to discover new opportunities. She speaks Russian, English, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, German, and a little bit of French and Korean. In MUNs she prefers to discuss social and security issues. She’d like to become a Diplomat, possibly working at the UN or other international organization. Her hobbies include volleyball, travelling, and creative writing.

Hailing from Jakarta, Jose is an undergraduate student of International Relations, in which he is interested on the political and security studies (even he loves low-political council). Aside from MUNs, Jose is a person who loves movies and eating especially Beef Yakiniku in which he perceived as a bowl of his happiness. Starting his MUN journey in late 2018, until now he had already been to 12 MUNs, one value he strives for the best delegate in MUN should not only be able to demonstrate substances excellences and punctual diplomatic manner, but also able to empower their council to achieve beyond the measured targets. Khayot Khalikov is a level-6 Commercial Law student at Westminster International University in Tashkent. He is currently the President of the WIUT Research Society which operates under the Research and Development Dean`s Office at WIUT as well as the Secretary General of WIUT Students` Union. Khayot originally comes from Uzbekistan and speaks more than 3 languages fluently. He has served as the General Manager as well as Vice-President of International Model United Nations several times. He is an easy going, open-minded, enthusiastic young diplomat with excellent charisma who always transforms optimism to others. Having an experience of chairing 20+ International Model United Nations, Youth Summits, Forums and Conferences he has a burning desire to share his knowledge and experience with other delegates so as to promote quality education, eternal peace and transnational cooperation worldwide.

Hello, guys! I am Shofie, an undergraduate student of Communication Study at Padjadjaran University, Indonesia. I am always keen on debating and discussing, reflected by my experiences in MUN and English Parliamentary Debate circuits. I have participated and won several MUN conferences in national and international level. I also have huge interests on human security and human rights, because I do believe that those are things which cannot be dismissed if we are talking about welfare and prosperity of a country. I’m a kind of person who is impressed by structurized and substantial speeches, fruitful debates, and well-delivered arguments inside the committee session. I also expect well elaborated and factually correct solutions from delegates. Engaging and accommodating manner from delegates will be further improve our council’s flow since this topic is a communal issue that needs immediate and realistic solutions to be adopted. And don’t worry, if you are new to MUN, I hope that Board of Dais and the rest of committees will provide the best experiences at your first time conference. Don’t be discouraged and keep learning. Jonas Bruns is currently studying mechanical engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. He has played an active role in Model United Nations since Highschool and served as Executive Board member of the Model United Nations Initiative from October 2017 until November 2018. In 2019 he hosted KaMUN – The Black Forest Summit 2019, an international Model United Nations Conference in Karlsruhe, Germany in the function of Secretary General. His engagement and curiosity have taken him to most parts of the globe for attending MUNs, such as Harvard World MUN 2018 in Panama or Future We Want MUN in 2019 in New York City, USA to name a few. Beyond Model United Nations Jonas Bruns is also shaping real world politics running as a candidate for the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in both the European Elections and the local elections in May 2019.

Hello everyone! I am Nur Syarina and I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of AYIMUN 2020. A little bit of introduction, I am a recent Chemical Engineer graduate and currently working as Process Engineer at Worley Malaysia. Well, people always asked me, why Model UN? I know engineering and international relations are two different world, but believe me,I enjoy doing both (especially MUNs) as I get to meet lots of amazing people from all around the world! I’d say that MUN is a life changing experience as I have met a lot of amazing people which inspired me in so many ways. Plus, joining MUNs helped me to boost my confidence level as well as it triggers a strong awareness of global issues! Shimar is a final year student pursuing a degree in Business Information Systems & Software Engineering. He is from a beautiful nation known to be called the pearl of the Indian ocean, Sri Lanka and has Been involved with the Model United Nations movement for the past 4 – 5 years, that being said he has represented his colleges both locally and internationally. He displays a tremendous amount of dedication towards sports, mainly soccer, athletics & basketball and plays them on a club level. A personality that revolves around leading a few organizations such as the Leo club & the Rotaract club, He is also the founder of Dawn Developments, a software development firm that deals with clients on a global scale & has an exemplary passion to uplift the lives of peers around him. Anna is a 20-year-old student of International Business Economics at Pompeu Fabra University. She has been interested in international affairs and relations for a long time and this is why she joined UNSA Barcelona her first month at university. Anna has participated as an awarded delegate in several MUN, including C'MUN 2018 and MilMUN 2018 and 2019, where she got the Honorable Mention for representing the Russian Federation in the UNSC. Anna has chaired several internal MUN simulations at her university and she is really looking forward to share her enthusiasm with all the delegates in the committee during AIYMUN 2020. Furthermore, she is deeply involved in the organisation of UNSA Barcelona’s society and has been a whole academic year in charge of managing the social networks of the association.
